Cassandra Spencer-Apodaca

Hello! My name is Cassandra Spencer-Apodaca and I am the president and creator of Midway Entertainment. I was born and raised in Houston, but spent a significant part of my childhood and young adult life in Madison County spending wonderful summers, holidays and weekends in Midway with my grandparents on their farm. I have fond memories of the little town called Midway, TX.  My family roots are Madison, Walker and Leon counties and my family have been here since before the Civil War, so I'm a country girl at heart.

I graduated from Douglas MacArthur Senior High school in Houston, TX in 1988. This led me to further my education from my alma mater Grambling State University "Where Everybody is Somebody"in Grambling, LA  followed by a Masters in Public Administration from Walden University. I am a single parent with three children (one has graduated from college, another is currently in college and one still at home). In my spare time, I love to read, spend time with my family & friends, going to the family farm in Midway to relax, cooking, grilling, deep sea fishing, traveling, ceramics, dancing, and doing family research (genealogy) for the past 20+ years in the Madison, Walker & Leon counties......... (and wherever else the trail may lead me.

In 2023 it will make 26 years that I have worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs serving our nation's Veterans. The experiences I received in various positions (management, event planning, etc.) has afforded me the opportunity to spread my wings with Midway Entertainment.....

I want all of my constituents to enjoy my live venues. Enjoy the music, the artists and the camaraderie.

In Memory of my grandparents

This is in memory of my maternal grandparents, Genord (1907-1993) and Madeline Spencer (1912-2001). My grandparents raised their 12 children in Midway on the "Island" and faithfully attended Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church , in which my great great grandfather was one of its founding members .

. I have many great memories spending time with them on the farm.
